Anywho, I have a ‘thing’ that is bugging the life out of me and it does every year!!!!!!  What is UP with Black History Month?  I think THAT is prejudiced!  You never hear of a white history month or a red history month or even a Hispanic history month.  Now I have noticed that these so called ‘minorities’ have Expos.  Like Black Expo, Hispanic Expo, Indian Expo, ect…but you will NEVER hear of a WHITE Expo.  I think the White people are the minority now.  Which is fine but I think everyone is the same!!!!!  If we truly ARE colorblind, then how come we say things like…I met this really cool black guy the other day, or I cannot stand that Hispanic chick…why can’t it be, I met this really cool guy the other day and I cannot stand so and so!!!!!!!!  THAT is being colorblind!!!!!  I hesitate to even say all this because it sounds like I am into that skinhead junk and I am by FAR not!!!!!  I think people are the same…we are all…PEOPLE!  I know there are circumstances of things but for instance, the people who come to America and take American jobs and go back home with all the money and live like kings while we make $24,000 a year and are considered poverty level.  I do not think they need to take jobs away from people who live here.  I also think it is rude to talk a different language here.  English is our language but yet Spanish is becoming the main language.  If I were in Africa I would not come in and demand they change their Swahili to English or to Spain and demand my rights for a job and the English language or throw a fit because their flag is offensive to me.  I am THEIR guest.  I do as they do!  I have no rights…unless I become ONE of them.  Even then, I will learn their language and adopt their flag!

**sigh**  Anywho, this just upsets me because I think the ‘white’ people are discriminated against now.  And I know this will ruffle feathers and I know people will assume things about me for saying all this and I can holler till my nose turns purple and people will still insist I am a racist or some junk and as I said, I am NOT.  And before someone says you do not know what it is like being of a different race...actually, I do believe it or not.  I was always very very dark and I have severely kinky curly hair.  I am talking corkscrew curls here.  I was mistaken as a blue eyed black in public school.  I never thought anything about it.  I was mistreated sometimes and the ignorant idiots there at Whiteland schools would call me the horrible 'N' word and junk and make jokes about my hair that most black folk get.  So I am aware of that but I also was teased for being white at another school so it is all irrelevent really.  Everyone gets picked on at some point.  And this I was fired because I am black junk?  COME ON!!!!!!!!  I know there are still morons out there who do fire because they are racist but not as much anymore.  But I know it still happens.  I mean, I am discriminated against because I am fat.  Being fat is the only area where discrimination still exists in America.  Seriously, even my skinny hubby was stuffed into an airline seat.  Bathroom stahls are made so small even a skinny person turns sideways to open the stinking door.  Seat belts in cars do not fit, stores do not carry our size.  Things like that.  Now...I want a Fat Expo and a Fat History Month.  Dagumit!  Anywho, my point is this...God made us all PEOPLE.  And I am proud to say that I am TRULY……………………
